![]() ![]() I feel like the Enforcer tried really hard to do everything perfect but sacrificed something - fun. It really sits square in the middle of those skis. It's playful, just like the S series, but has more power, like the Enforcer. Overall: I love the Rustler 10 because it fits my style. This isn't a ski that requires a ton of input - they know to go on their own. Loose Powder (3") - Skis floated well and provided nice power in transitions, as expected. Coming off a S3 previous, it was nice to have some power in the back. The thing I enjoyed most was the tail action. This is a good trait to have, for most advanced skiers, but could knock some newbies on their ass. Note: there are time where you are reminded that these skis still have power under foot - it's not a intermediate level ski. I was able to switch these things fast with just a little hip movement. They seem to have just the right amount of flex in the tip/tail to bounce between bumps. Trees hard pack - These skis are very quick. At the NorthFace at Mount Snow, I was doing laps on Jaws (decent pitch/bumps) - enjoying cracking the crud on top and bouncing in the soft stuff. I was skiing conditions on the Rustler that I would never even attempt on an S ski. My previous experience with the S series in these conditions was mostly negative. While the Enforcer wants to drive through, the Rustler laughed all day. Unlike the Enforcer, the Rustler broke and floated. Powder under ice - Skiing ice covered moguls was the test, but as I said, there was a decent amount of fresh snow under. You could ski them, it just wouldn't be much fun. Forget the S series in this category - none are good. If these conditions were the norm for me, I'd prefer the Enforcer - the ski without a speed limit. I skied some pretty frozen stuff and the was always able to get an edge and make things fun. It's not the powerhouse the Enforcer 100 is on these conditions, but it is certainly capable. This is not a comparison - but these are the other skis I used this year in similar conditions at comparable lengthsįrozen hard pack- The Rustler 10 seems to be pretty good at just about everything.
